About Esperanto Typing

Esperanto, the most widely spoken constructed international auxiliary language, uses several special characters that aren't found on standard keyboards. This tool makes it easy to type in Esperanto with all the proper diacritics.

Esperanto has six special characters with diacritical marks:

  • Ĉ/ĉ, Ĝ/ĝ, Ĥ/ĥ, Ĵ/ĵ, Ŝ/ŝ - letters with circumflex (^)
  • Ŭ/ŭ - letter with breve (˘)

These characters are essential for proper Esperanto spelling. If you don't have access to these characters, there is an alternative "x-system" where you can write "cx" for "ĉ", "gx" for "ĝ", etc., but using the proper characters is always preferred.

Simply click on the character you need to insert it into your text. You can then copy and paste your text into any application that supports Unicode text.
