About Norwegian Typing
Norwegian uses three special letters that aren't found on standard English keyboards. This tool makes it easy to type in Norwegian with all the proper characters.
The three special Norwegian letters are:
- Æ/æ - pronounced like the 'a' in "bad"
- Ø/ø - pronounced like the 'u' in "burn"
- Å/å - pronounced like the 'o' in "or"
These letters are considered separate letters in the Norwegian alphabet, not just accented versions of a and o. They come at the end of the alphabet, in the order æ, ø, å. The Norwegian alphabet has 29 letters in total.
Simply click on the character you need to insert it into your text. You can then copy and paste your text into any application that supports Unicode text.
