About Polish Typing

Polish uses several special characters with diacritical marks that aren't found on standard English keyboards. This tool makes it easy to type in Polish with all the proper characters.

The Polish alphabet includes the following special characters:

  • Ą/ą, Ę/ę - nasal vowels with ogonek (little tail)
  • Ć/ć, Ń/ń, Ś/ś, Ź/ź - consonants with acute accent
  • Ż/ż - consonant with dot above
  • Ł/ł - consonant with stroke
  • Ó/ó - vowel with acute accent (pronounced like "u")

These characters are essential for proper Polish spelling and pronunciation. For example, "łąka" (meadow) and "laka" (lacquer) are completely different words with different meanings.

Simply click on the character you need to insert it into your text. You can then copy and paste your text into any application that supports Unicode text.
